The 150-F317NBD is a SMC Flex Smart Motor controller. This controller is a solid-state device, typically used in
industrial applications. This device is more commonly referred to as a Soft-Starter by most plant personnel. It is
paired to a 3-Phase motor to implement protective start-up and shutdown features as well as lower energy consumption.
Motor protection and energy consumption is implemented by the control methods supported by the 150-F317NBD such
as Soft Start, Full Voltage Start, Smart Motor Braking, Current Limit Start, Dual Ramp Start, Accu-Stop, Selectable
Kickstart, Pump Start, Slow Speed with Braking, Coast-to-rest, Preset Slow Speed, Linear Speed Acceleration
(Tachometer required), Soft Stop and Pump Stop. This controller is ideally used in compressor, chillers, pumps,
conveyors and crushers.
