The Honeywell HCiRD15-20X is an ultrasonic proximity detector designed for non-contact object detection in
demanding industrial environments. It functions by emitting ultrasonic waves and detecting their reflection
from a target object. This technology allows it to reliably detect a wide variety of materials, including solids,
liquids, and transparent objects, regardless of color or transparency. It is particularly suited for applications
where physical contact is undesirable or where photoelectric sensors may struggle due to target characteristics
or environmental conditions like dust, smoke, or steam.
