monitor shaft vibration, axial displacement, and eccentricity of steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, and large 

feedwater pumps to prevent catastrophic accidents caused by mechanical fatigue.
Oil and Gas: Deployed on oil production platforms, long-distance pipelines, and refineries. Primarily used for
