The GE Panametrics XMTC-62-11-0 is an online industrial transmitter that precisely measures the concentration of binary 

gas mixtures (such as hydrogen, helium, carbon dioxide, or methane). It utilizes highly stable, glass-coated thermistors

to measure thermal conductivity without any moving parts.

Product Applications

Electric power industry (power plants): Used in hydrogen-cooled power generation units, it monitors the purity of 

hydrogen (H2) and prevents air leakage to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the units.
Metal processing and heat treatment plants: In annealing and heat treatment furnaces, it measures the protective 

atmosphere (such as the proportion of hydrogen in a nitrogen environment) to ensure the surface quality of metals.
Petroleum refining and chemical plants: Used in refining hydrogenation units, ammonia synthesis plants (monitoring 

the hydrogen content in the synthesis gas), and binary gas mixtures in flare gas recovery systems.
Biogas and landfill sites: Used in the front and rear sections of biogas purification devices, precisely measuring the ratio 

of methane (CH4) to carbon dioxide (CO2).
Industrial gas manufacturing plants: Used in the purity monitoring process of high-purity gases (such as argon, hydrogen, 

and nitrogen) in the production of these gases.

The microprocessor-based XMTC is a compact, rugged, online thermal conductivity transmitter that measures 

the concentration of binary gas mixtures including hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, helium and many others. The 

analyzer also combines computer enhanced signal measurement with fast-response software, real-time error detection 

and digital communication via an RS232 or RS485 interface.
