1768-L43 Description

The 1768-L43 controller is a PLC that is used to control machines and processes.  This controller has integrated serial 

port for connection to PCs and other devices.  It supports two 1768 backplane modules and it supplies a backplane current 

of 1.3 Amps at 24 Volts.  It has a 2.0 Amps backplane current at 5.2 Volts.  For manually changing the operating mode, 

the controller is provided with a key control on the front panel for adjusting the controller mode.  The 1768-L43 has 

a maximum power consumption of 31.3 Watts and a power dissipation rate of 6.3 Watts.  It can support a maximum of 

sixteen 1769 I/O modules and two 1768 modules residing within 2 remote I/O banks.  The 1768-L43 has an isolation 

voltage of 30 Volts tested at 500 Volts AV between RS 232 and system.  The 1768-L43 is designated at aT4 temperature 

code (135 degrees Celsius) and is compatible with any open style type enclosure rating.  It is easily mounted using either 

the (wall)/panel mount or DIN rail via M4 or #8 mounting screws.  The 1768-L43 has a weight of 11.9 ounces and 

shipping dimensions of 5.18 x 2.65 x 4.80 inches.  The 1768-L43 has a 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, a 

working temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and a storage temperature 

range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius (-40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
