The HIMAX X-COM01 communication module is intended for use in the programmable electronic system
(PES) HIMax.
The module is approved for use in the safety-related HIMax system and can be used to transport safety-related
protocols.
The HIMAX X-COM01 module ensures communication with systems via Ethernet and fieldbus interfaces with
safeethernet and different standard protocols.
Product Applications
Oil & Gas: Applied to emergency shutdown systems (ESD) and fire and gas monitoring systems (FGS) in refineries.
X-COM 01 is responsible for transmitting these critical safety data to the upper-level DCS control system or SCADA
system.
Chemical & Petrochemical: In chemical plants with explosion hazards or requiring precise process control, used to
maintain the safe operation of factory equipment at SIL 3 level.
Power Generation: For protection and control of power generators to ensure that power facilities can safely shut
down in case of faults.
Railways: In signal control and tunnel safety monitoring systems, serving as a bridge for safety communication.
