The IC693BPM200 is a Profibus Master Module that is part of the Series 90-30 controller platform previously 

from GE Fanuc, now acquired by Emerson Automation. This module is an option communications module that 

support Profibus communication protocol. It comes with One (1) Profibus Master port that supports communication 

to Profibus network in daisy chain topology and another RS232 service port that can be used for downloading 

configuration and firmware upgrade. The IC693BPM200 is a single slot module that installs to the CPU baseplate, 

expansion or remote baseplate. It supports communication of up to 125 Profibus DP slaves, enabling implementation 

of Remote I/O architecture and communication to other devices such as gateways, HMI, SCADA and other devices. For 

Remote I/O functionality, each Profibus slave is able to receive 244 Bytes of input data and send 244 Bytes of output 

data. It supports Synch and Freeze configuration and configurable to all Profibus standard transmission rates ranging 

from 9600 Kbaud to 12MBaud. It follows Daisy-chain topology as this protocol is derived from RS485 electrical standard 

with both ends, specifically, node 1 and the last node of the network, closed by means of a terminating resistor.
