The 3300 5 mm Proximity Transducer System consists of:
a 3300 5 mm probe 12
a 3300 XL extension cable (ref 141194-01)·
a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor 3,4,5 (ref 141194-01)
When combined with a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and XLextension cable, the system provides an output
voltage thatis directly proportional to the distance between the probe tipand the observed conductive surface.
The system canmeasure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data.Its primary use is in vibration and
position measurementapplications on fluid-film bearing machines, as well asKeyphasor measurement and
speed measurementapplications6.

Measurement Functions
This probe is part of the 3300 XL proximity sensor system and is primarily used to monitor:
Radial Vibration: Monitors rotor vibration at the rotating bearing to determine bearing wear and bearing housing
stability.
Shaft Displacement (Axial Position): Measures the axial offset of the rotor to prevent damage to the thrust
bearing.
Speed and Key Phase: Provides precise timing signals for mechanical characterization.
