Specifications

The Dual Probe Transducer System consists of a proximity probe and a seismicor Velomitor* transducer installed 

at approximately the same point in a commontransducer housing. This transducer system is capable of making four 

separate measurements:
Shaft relative radial position (displacement) relative to the probe mountinglocation, measured by the proximity probe;

Shaft relative radial dynamic motion (vibration) relative to the probe mountinglocation, measured by the 

proximity probe;Machine casing absolute vibration measured by the seismic vibration; andShaft absolute motion 

represented by the summation of the seismic signal (afterintegration to displacement) and the shaft relative displacement.
The Dual Probe Transducer System provides the best measurement data whentransducer housing is mounted on a portion 

of the bearing housing or cover thatis mechanically referenced to the bearing.
For complete machinery monitoring diagnostics using orbit analysis and shaftcenterline position information, two Dual 

Probe assemblies in an X-Yconfiguration are required per radial bearing.
A probe support/oil sleeve is available as an option. It protects the transducersystem from oil and provides additional 

support for the probe sleeve.

Power Industry: Widely used in thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and gas turbine power plants to monitor 

shaft vibration, shaft displacement, and eccentricity of steam turbines (TG), generators, large feedwater pumps, and 

forced draft fans.
Oil and Gas (Midstream and Downstream): Used in large centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, and large 

pump sets in refineries, natural gas liquefaction plants (LNG), and gas pipeline stations to ensure equipment safety 

in flammable and explosive environments.
Heavy Chemical and Petrochemical Industries: Used for mechanical condition monitoring of core equipment such as 

ethylene cracking gas compressors, high-pressure pumps, and mixers to prevent production shutdowns or media leaks 

caused by sudden and severe mechanical failures.
Metallurgy and Mining: Used for vibration monitoring of large blast furnace blowers and high-power motors in steel plants, 

as well as large crushing and conveying rotating equipment in the mining industry.
