The 3300 XL 50 mm Transducer System consists of a separate 50 mm probe, an extension cable, and a 3300 XL
50 mm Proximitor Sensor. The large diameter coil gives this system amaximum linear range of 27.9 mm (1100 mils),
the longestlinear range of our eddy current transducer line. This linearrange makes the 3300 XL 50 mm Transducer
System ideal formeasuring the differential expansion (DE) or rotor expansion(Rx) of large steam turbine generators that
results from thedifference in growth rates between the turbine rotor and themachine stator (casing).
Product Applications
Thermal power plants/nuclear power plants: Monitoring differential expansion and rotor expansion of large steam turbines
and generators.
Petrochemicals/Natural gas: Monitoring shaft vibration and shaft displacement of critical high-speed rotating equipment
such as high-pressure centrifugal compressors and large industrial pumps.
Metallurgy and steel: Used for safety monitoring of large fans, motors, and compressors under high loads and high
vibrations.
