The 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System has a 3.94V/mm (100 mv/mil) output for non-contacting
vibration anddisplacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines.The large 11 mm tip enables this transducer
system to have alonger linear range compared to our standard 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System. It is primarily used
in the following applications where the longer linear range is necessary:
Axial (thrust) position measurements
Ramp differential expansion measurements on steamturbines
Rod position or rod drop measurements onreciprocating compressors
Tachometer and zero speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor) signals
Product Applications
Power Industry: Monitoring the internal vibration and axial displacement of bearing housings in steam turbines, gas
turbines, generators, and large feedwater pumps in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants to prevent unit
damage due to severe vibration.
Oil and Gas: Used in large centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, and crude oil pumps on offshore
drilling platforms, oil refineries, and long-distance pipelines.
