The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advancedperformance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems.
The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system alsofully complies with the American Petroleum Institute's (API)670 standard
for mechanical configuration, linear range,accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mmproximity transducer
systems provide this level ofperformance and support complete interchangeability ofprobes, extension cables, and
Proximitor sensors, eliminatingthe need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component isbackward compatible and interchangeable4 with other non-XL
3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer systemcomponents5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mmprobe, for
applications in which an 8 mm probe is too largefor the available mounting space6,7.
Product Applications
1. Power Generation
Steam Turbines: Monitor the radial vibration and axial displacement of the turbine rotor to ensure safe operation at
high rotational speeds.
Gas Turbines: Conduct real-time vibration monitoring of the turbine rotor.
Generators: Monitor the vibration of the generator bearings.
2. Oil & Gas/Petrochemical
Centrifugal Compressors: This is one of the main application scenarios for this type of probe, used to monitor the radial
and axial vibrations of the unit to prevent sudden failures.
Large Pumps: Monitor the vibration and position of the pump shaft in crude oil transportation pumps and injection pumps.
Agitators/Reactors: Monitor the operating status of the high-speed stirring shaft.
