PROFIBUs@ is a field bus that is widely used, particularly in the area ofmechanical engineering and plant engineering and
even today - in spite of allEthernet-based fieldbuses - it continues to show increasing quantities. A broadpalette of
peripheral components and an active user organization will ensurelong-term availability of PROFIBUS components also in
the future. Bachmannoffers a fieldbus module for the backplane that can be used both as master, aswell as slave.
The SolutionCenter contains a complete configurator that enablesinterfaces to the engineering tools of other
manufacturers through theconsistent application of standards.
The fieldbus module DPM200 for PROFIBUsR DP (Distributed Peripherals) canbe operated as DP Master, DP Slave or
as combined master/slave, which in amulti-master network offers variables for another master. The process data
isavailable to the application program as I/O module and thus can bereached via the process image or via the
function interface.
