The ABB NINT-42 is a Communication Interface specifically designed for integration withABB's drive systems. This
interface plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and reliableoperation within various industrial applications.
Acting as an essential physical link between the low-voltage control unit and the high-voltage power stage, this board takes
full responsibility for real-time signal conversion and hardware protection. It converts incoming low-voltage control
commands into pulse drive signals for high-power IGBT modules, while instantly feeding back operational status and
critical safety metrics—such as overcurrent and overtemperature—to the main control system.Although officially classified
as an obsolete legacy spare part by the OEM, the NINT-42 remains a mission-critical asset for heavy industries
worldwide—including metallurgy, pulp & paper, chemical processing, mining, and port machinery—to eliminate
costly unscheduled downtime.
