(and DCS880) industrial drives that enhances machine safety by providing multiple built-in safety functions. 

Installed inside the drive, the FSO-21 enables safety-critical control such as Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Stop, 

Safe Direction, and Safe Speed Monitoring, helping protect personnel and equipment in automated systems. It 

supports integration with safety PLCs via PROFIsafe over PROFINET, and with optional encoder feedback (via FSE-31) 

it can extend safe functionality to direction/monitoring functions.
